Plastic handrails
Dubai Ladders supplies a wide range of fibre-reinforced plastic (GRP) handrails and handrail systems. All our systems comply with the requirements of NEN-EN-ISO 14122 and combine safety with durability. Thanks to their high strength and excellent corrosion resistance, GRP handrails are a low-maintenance and future-proof solution.
GRP handrails do not rust or rot and are completely maintenance-free. They are available as standard in safety yellow and grey.
Types and applications
Our plastic handrails are available in various configurations and are supplied as standard with an ergonomic top rail for additional user comfort. The maximum length of a single handrail section is 6 metres. For longer runs, the handrails can easily be connected.
GRP handrails are widely used in, among others:
- Landings
- Staircases
- Walkways
- Escape routes
They are particularly suitable for corrosive environments such as the petro chemical industry, maritime applications, water treatment facilities and offshore installations.

Fibre-reinforced plastic is strong, safe, low-maintenance and corrosion-resistant. This makes GRP an excellent construction material for corrosion-prone environments. In addition, it is often more cost-effective than steel or stainless steel, both in initial purchase and over the entire service life.
